The Church of Saint Augustine of Canterbury is in Church Road, Scaynes Hill, West Sussex, RH17 7NY, in the United Kingdom. The village of Scaynes Hill is on the A272 a few miles east of Haywards Heath, and Saint Augustine’s Church is at the corner of St Augustine’s Close and Church Road, which is the principal road in Scaynes Hill that runs north from the A272.

Restrictions due to the Covid-19 Pandemic

It is necessary for you to take precautions if you enter the church building, and for us to ensure that it is properly cleaned after each period of use. For this reason, it is only open to visitors on Sundays (after the morning service on the days when there has been one in the building) and on Tuesdays, and everyone who enters it must wear an appropriate face covering and use the hand wash that has been made available, either at the door of the church or at the back of the pews.

Online Sunday Services

Saint Augustine’s Church has its own YouTube channel, on which our 10:00 am Sunday services will be available during the period of restrictions required to reduce the impact of the pandemic. It can be found at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYBIuyAatl5kfw5dcthxF-w, and we hope that if you cannot join us in person then you will visit it, and participate, albeit at a distance, in our Sunday worship.

Sunday Services inside the Church

We can now celebrate said communion inside the church building, at 9:00 am on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays of each month, although only a limited number of people will be able to attend these services, and a number of other restrictions will apply. Please let Mark the churchwarden know by the Friday lunchtime preceding such a service if you wish to attend.
