Lent and Giving 2021
As well as holding a version of our usual Service for Ash Wednesday, and running the parish Lent Course, both of which are necessarily online this year, we want to focus during Lent upon our charitable giving.
Giving is part of our faith and mission both as individuals and as a church and we give:
- to show our gratitude for what God has given us
- to help God’s work
- to help those in need
We have historically given 10% of our parish income onwards to other charities but this has become more challenging over the years and last year we had a charity gift day; people were very generous and PCC were then able to top up the money raised so that we were still able to give 10%. This year we are offering the opportunity to do something similar during Lent.
You can support our external giving online, using Give A Little (Gift Aid option included); you can follow the link, or scan the QR code with an internet-capable mobile telephone or tablet, or if giving by cheque is easier for you, then please contact Beverley.
