SHY — our 15+ Youth Group

There are three groups for young people at St. Augustine’s, the UFO group for those aged eleven to fourteen, the “SHY” group for older teenagers and the FAF group for all young people who want to deepen their understanding of the faith.

 

SHY, Scaynes Hill Youth, is our youth group for older teenagers. On the weeks that UFOs doesn’t meet those in school year 10 and above are welcome to join us, normally meeting at 7:30pm outside the Church, though this is subject to change according to the programme of activities planned.

The focus of this group is learning something about what it means to be a Christian teenager in the 21st century. At the same time we will be going on a number of trips and exciting evenings out, as suggested by the young people. so come along and have your say about what you’d like to do! This term we hope to include paintballing, film night, bowling, laser quest, a meal, and games nights

Some weeks we also join up with the Encrypt youth group from All Saints, Lindfield so that we can have a really varied programme of events with a larger group.

If you, or someone you know, would like to come along then simply turn up at the relevant time and you’ll be more than welcome.

SHY will resume after its summer break.
