Who’s Who in Church

Saint Augustine’s Church has a priest–in–charge, Mark Payne, two churchwardens, Sue and Lynne, and a part–time youth and families missioner, Tom.

There is a parish magazine that is printed about ten times per year, to which Mark contributes a Letter from the Vicarage and the churchwardens contribute a report. From time to time our missioner also produces a letter of his own. We are collecting these on the web site, to enable them to reach a wider audience.

Plenty of other people are involved in the life of the church, and may in due course get their pictures put up on this web site. Amongst them are Debbie, who edits the weekly newsletter and the members of the parochial church council, including Mark its secretary and David its treasurer. Some of these people can be contacted by e-mail, and we hope to increase the number who can be e-mailed as time goes by.

But of course, everyone, every member of the congregation, and every visitor who comes to the church and worships with us, is an important part of the St Augustine’s Church family. To celebrate this, here is a photograph of one of our West African visitors, Mohammed from Freetown, together with Jean.
