Children’s Church
During the normal Sunday Services at 9:30, the younger members of the congregation leave the main part of the church to go to activities designed for them. The older ones, aged eleven to eighteen, normally go to the church vestry for Bible Group, whilst the very young can be looked after in a crèche with toys and activities such as colouring at the back of the church. The intermediate ones will generally go to the Vicarage with Tom, or whoever is scheduled to help them that day, for FEAST on Sunday.
In the Sunday FEAST, just as in the FEAST after school club, they will be taught a lesson (in a fun way, not like proper school!) designed for children of their age and linked to the Bible readings for that day, so that adults and both sets of children will be looking at the same sort of topics. Generally there will be some sort of game or craft activity each week, but time constraints can affect this.
If you want to learn more about FEAST, Sunday or after school, you can e-mail Tom at missioner@sash.org.uk.
